This grant is a one-off funding opportunity of $5,000 to support Victorian Government schools who are transitioning from having a third party outside school hours care (OSHC) service, to delivering through their school council.
The funding aims to support schools with the costs (both in terms of purchasing and administrative time) of this transition.
Who is eligible for this funding grant?
Any Victorian Government school may apply for this grant, irrespective of whether they have previously received any other funding, if the intention is to deliver an OSHC service with the school council as the approved provider.
What costs are eligible for reimbursement?
- Costs of approvals from Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (provider approval, service approval, transfer fee)
- Cost associated with applications for Child Care Subsidy (including fitness and propriety checks required by school council members and Principal)
- Essential expenses for service establishment, such as a laptop, mobile phone, software
- Adminstration costs, including time spent by Business Manager, Principal or other school leadership, on service establishment, submitting applications, policy development etc.
