Small and Regional Schools OSHC funding is open to schools which were previously grant recipients from the Outside School Hours Care Establishment Grants Initiative between 2021 and 2023.

The funding is available to schools who used the funding to establish a new OSHC service, that is, applicants from rounds 1, 2, 3A and 4A.

The funding is not available to schools which had an existing OSHC service and used the funding to add new sessions of care. For instance, if your school used the funding to add vacation care to its service which existed prior to the grants (applicants from rounds 3B and 4B), you are not eligible to apply.

You're also required to have fully acquitted your OSHC Establishment Grant to be considered for this new funding. Note: Round 1 and 4 schools' forms are available now to complete on SmartyGrants and an email will be sent 11 August 2025 with instructions on how to complete.
